Building a sustainable supply chain for the future
United Fresh was founded in 2007, with the vision of offering the foodservice industry a locally-sourced alternative to national supply.
Who are we?
Your ultimate local food supplier – Offering a complete fresh supply chain of local Fresh Produce, Meat, Seafood, Dairy, Baked Goods and Dry Store.
With a diverse and broad network of independent regional companies, spanning across Fresh Produce, Meat, Seafood, Dairy, Baked Goods and Dry Store, we are able to offer clients a reliable supply chain from John O’Groats to Land’s End. You are never more than 50 miles from your local United Fresh supply partner, in fact, we can do one better – across our entire client base, our average distance from your kitchen to the nominated depot is 29 miles!
Not only are we able to benefit the local communities of our clients and supply partners by supporting the local economies, but your kitchens enjoy the benefit of these local relationships whilst head offices enjoy a simplified, consolidated invoice, admin and contact across all categories.

Sustainability
We are dedicated to being stewards of our planet. Hospitality and Agriculture are big topics within the sustainability sphere, and we know that things have to change. Which is why we’ve dedicated significant time and funding into our own team to guide not only ourselves, but our supply partners down the path that is needed to build a sustainable supply chain for the future. Working closely with stakeholders and clients, we understand the importance of steady but consistent progress in the right direction.
Seasonality
You may have picked up on our passion for seasonality. As we have moved as a collective into a time of consuming what we want, when we want, the art of seasonal eating has taken a steep decline. We want to change this.
We know this will only happen through widespread education of the subject to all. Whether that be at our ‘Vegucation’ events with children and young adults, to our more mature colleagues.
The goal of this is bring you seasonal, great tasting, products all year round to enhance your menu. Of course, we will be able to get you some lovely European strawberries in December, however, we would much prefer to bring you an abundance of cranberries, medlars and pears for that festive kick! Our goal is to guide and educate, it’s just a bonus you get the best quality product out of it!
To help out, we have made a quick chart to aid in understanding when your fresh produce favourites are in UK season. We must point out that this is a changing set of data, and with every year there is some shift, so if you want some live data, reach out to us to have a chat.
